We are currently looking for an EMEA Technical Key Account Director to join our team in Italy. The EMEA Technical Account Director will manage the technical relationship with large, strategic Accounts (up to 10 for EMEA) for Vertiv in a long-term perspective as well as support the Key Account Director or Strategic Segment Director with all LOB technical Sales activities.  Secure Vertiv is the Account's preferred partner for the entire Product and Service portfolio of Vertiv; support peers in pursuing software projects in major account. This role is to cover several accounts and to offer full LOB coverage to these accounts, the individual will be responsible for all direct first engagement technical business development activities using the network of consultants to ensure seamless communication and ensuring any transfer of product from the US is managed at the front end and then have a key role in delivering new and innovative solutions to the team, this role is a key part of the team that sits between the commercial lead on the account (Account Director) and the AE team enabling a very detailed and commercially driven conversation to identify the key USP's in the market and ensuring the KAD is driving the account to use the best solution Vertiv has to offer.  The role will be a key part of the EMEA segment strategy as this will cover product and services to these accounts and will be a fundamental link with the Key Account Directors. The role will have an identified account list as well as assisting the Key Account Directors with their OFCI projects that are installed and also working on the service offerings.  MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB Directs and coordinates activities to promote business for Vertiv in the target market sector covering all LOB's, Reporting of these LOB's will be through the E&I business and the VRT business independently to show the penetration of the role and ensure the transparency per LOB.Directs global Sales, Marketing and Services, to achieve budgeted sales/profits, costs, financial metrics and customer satisfaction.Directs and coordinates preparation of sales and business forecasts, strategic and long-term growth plans.Directs Business and Product strategy including analysis of competitive products, services and selling techniques, modifications and/or improvements based in findings of marketing, sales and technical research. Oversees development of strategies to:Maximise sale of core products.Identify and secure new business opportunities and products.Develop new customers and products.Identifies new market opportunities for Company competencies.Develops executive level relationships with Marquee/strategic customers and decision/makers and routinely make customer visits. Perform administrative responsibilities for colleagues including training, coaching, salary administration, organisation planning and performance reviews.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Performs tasks and oversees special projects and assignments as may be assigned by the Business Leader.Promotes a positive global company image.Provides leadership in improving a customer-focused culture.Travel as required.JOB QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree.MBA Level qualification preferred.Minimum ten (10) years industry experience with five (5) years executive level Sales management experience.Direct and interactive computer skills and electronic business interface.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrated leadership, analytical skills and (well developed) interpersonal skills.Proficient in Global business cultures.Proactive and high-energy style.
