Our newest core asset in General Medicines Transplant space aims at treat adults and children 12 years of age and older with chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD) after an allogeneic transplant of hematopoietic stem cells. Now is the time to add your strengths to ours!Our TeamWe are seeking a highly motivated and visionary leader interested in shaping the management of adults and children 12 years of age and older with chronic graft-versus-host disease (chronic GVHD). As the Transplant Lead, you will be primarily responsible to develop and implement the local medical strategy for a first-in-class therapy in Transplant. You will lead a best-in-class medical team that will establish credibility with Transplant scientific community. You will also shape the long-term strategy and medical team, considering post-launch period. You have a deep understanding of Transplant and oncohematology therapy area, the medical unmet needs, clinical practice guidelines, patient journey and competitive landscape. You are recognized by key stakeholders as an expert in the field, with a significant network within the medical community. You have extensive experience in medical affairs, including shaping therapy area strategies, medical insights gathering, building strategic partnerships, medical education, data dissemination and omnichannel KOL engagement. Reporting to the country Medical Head General Medicines, this role is strategically positioned to realize the ambition for Transplant by shaping the cGVHD strategy and building the launch strategy of this first-in-class therapy, contributing to the overall success of Sanofi and improving people's life.Your core responsibilities will include:Building and leading the best-in-class Transplant local medical team (including MSLs) with whom you will transform the paradigm of cGVHD management among the medical communityShaping with the Global Medical team (GMT) the Transplant strategy that is translated in Integrated Growth Plan (IGP) including insights generation to feed the "Glocal" strategyDriving key pre-launch medical activities to ensure a successful local launch in collaboration with Commercial, Public Affairs and Market Access teamsIdentifying local evidence gaps (i.e., required for regulatory submissions and reimbursement, LCM, product value proposition etc.) for prioritization by GMT and, where applicable, driving the execution of local evidence generation planCo-leading the development of patient pathway/journeys, patient support solutions and that improve patient and caregivers experience and patient outcomes while meeting broader strategic objectives (i.e., data generation)Co-design diagnosis and monitoring strategy levering partnerships with the healthcare ecosystem players (e.g. evidence generation, generative AI tool, etc…)Collaborating cross-functionally (e.g., Commercial, Market Access, Public Affairs) to define a broad stakeholder engagement strategy by understanding how stakeholders impact each other in ecosystem (e.g., KOLs, DOLs, scientific societies, PAGs, policy makers, payers, think-tanks, COEs, etc.) and tailor engagement to their level of maturity to shape cGVHD paradigm and establish scientific leadershipEstablishing relationships and partner with key stakeholders in the Healthcare landscape (COEs, KOLs, Medical societies, peer to peer communities, patient associations, HTA bodies etc.) and drive scientific community consensus on treatment, subministration protocols, treatment guidelinesExecuting Glocal state of the art, multi-factorial stakeholder engagement leveraging Omnichannel (i.e., in field engagement, customer-centric educational programs, digital engagement and social media, etc...) with a compelling narrativeStaying up to date about the evolutions and developments of cGVHD, the medical unmet needs, clinical practice guidelines, patient journey and competitive landscapeProviding up-to-date disease and product knowledge to internal and external customersAbout youEducationMedical, Pharmacists, Biologists degree or PhD relevant to the field Medical Degree; or Postgraduate specialist qualifications in a medical field (e.g., MSc / PhD)ExperienceAt least 5 years of industry experience in Medical AffairsPrevious experience in the people management fieldPrior experience in Transplant (preferred)Demonstrated successful product launch and launch excellence experience (preferred)SkillsDeep understanding of cGVDH medical unmet needs, clinical practice guidelines, patient journey and competitive landscapeExperience in shaping therapy area strategies, building partnerships with key stakeholders, leveraging OmnichannelDeep understanding of the entire local healthcare ecosystemAbility to understand and effectively communicate scientific and medical data and information to internal and external stakeholdersAbility to effectively collaborate within the medical function and with other functionsCompetencies on clinical research models and machine learn (AI) application toolsStrategic thinking and strong analytical skillsCustomer & patient centric mindsetAbility to engage and develop the team, delegate effectively, celebrate diversity within the team, and drive performanceExcellent communication skills with the ability to build trustful relationships, and to influence and collaborate internally and externally at all organizational levelsAbility to work agile, demonstrate creativity and be a strong team playerLeadership and skills for people developmentResilience, rigor, and reliabilityLead by example Play to Win cultureStrong communication and presentation skills in English and Italian both written and verbalAbsolute commitment to ethical standards and compliancePursue .
