The purpose of this role is to lead & coach their team to maintain process performance and drive continuous improvement cycles linked to site goals to consistently deliver outstanding safety, quality, service and value to the people at the end of our supply chain.
To achieve the strategy of Zero Accidents, Defects and Waste the role is required to focus a minimum of 40% of their time on the shop floor via a scripted diary carrying out their key responsibilities.

Discover more about our company wide benefits and life at GSK on our webpage Life at GSK | GSK This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career.These responsibilities include some of the following: People leadership - for a team of leaders working on shifts within the Visual Inspection production environment.Problem solving and performance management within the Visual Inspection area.Process management by creating and confirming standards (against the 4M's, Material, Manpower, Method, Measurement) required to manage safety, quality, compliance, and output.Risk management: responsible for ensuring that Risk assessment, Risk communication and action planning are completed in accordance with the Risk Management System within the relevant business area. Risks may be relevant to Business, Business continuity, Safety, People, Wellbeing, Compliance, Quality, Costs.In this role, you will… Translate the Strategy for the area to prioritised objectives for the First Line Leaders and their staff and develop a monthly plan with clear KPIs, in line with the production / safety / Quality targets of Parma Site.Lead and coach First Line Leaders and direct staff to ensure adherence to standards.Work with the team to continuously improve the capabilities to increase their performance, engaging and inspiring staff to achieve future targets through the application of the Continuous Improvement Framework.Ensure development plans are undertaken on a regular basis.Lead any Organization Design reviews required within the production area.Role model the expected behaviours and standards for all staff.Deploy performance management process within the area, ensuring accurate and timely data are used.Solve problems proactively with direct reports using the CI principles to eliminate recurring safety, quality, and productivity issues, considering patterns or repeating issues for true root cause resolution.Develop area budget, monitor, and review spending and supplies key financial forecasts to meet operating and budget objectives. Develop cost reduction and continuous improvement programs and manage departmental headcount to meet demand and site goals.Works across boundaries with other departments to achieve site goals.Why you?Basic Qualifications & SkillsWe are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:Previous experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, leading and coaching high performing teams.Knowledge of the CI framework and mindset.Analytical skills to be able to undertake problem solving and root cause analysis.Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, crucial for successfully meet or exceed aligned targets, delivered through excellent performance of the team.English intermediate userPreferred Qualifications & SkillsPlease note the following skills are not necessary, just preferred, if you do not have them, please still apply:University degree, Business or Pharma orientated.Leadership skills including setting clear expectations, providing feedback and dealing with issues as they arise.Ability to work across boundaries.Knowledge of the Visual Inspection process.Closing Date for Applications – April 16, 2024 Please take a copy of the Job Description, as this will not be available post closure of the advert.
