Your Responsibilities Our R&D Software Development Hub in MilanElevators are way more than metal boxes moving up and down, they are smart systems incorporating several technologies. They run a complex software to meet high quality and safety standards. This is what we develop in our Milan Software Development Hub. In this job, you will be part of an agile team and rely on modern software development tools to help us shape the next generation elevator's software. Your tasksThe development of an innovative elevator software requires a proper test infrastructure framework. Here in Schindler, we use an online platform that can support testers with automated test executions, software updates, and configuration downloads. A full team is dedicated to the development and maintenance of this online platform, and we are looking for another member of this team that would act as a Full stack developer, since this platform makes extended use of databases and requires both back-end and front-end skills. In details: Engineer and extend the framework, proposing the best way to accommodate users' requests and feedback Develop back-end features (database queries and data handling) Design the graphical interface of the framework, using UX tools such as Figma Maintain the software Ensure the proper working of the platform and act immediately to resolve issues reported by users Continuously improve the software by proposing helpful changes Extend the software to be compatible with different infrastructures introduced by the company Perform code reviews for colleagues Perform technical sessions with the team to discuss implementation choices Document your work and stay up to date with the work of your colleagues We Elevate... Your Best Self To thrive in this position, we expect you to have the following strengths: Master's degree in computer science, electronics and/or software development 3+years of experience as a developer, preferably as a full stack developer Knows and applies state-of-the-art software engineering practices.
